You have been looking for that one thing that can make your dreams come true, something you can do from the comfort of your home. Then you hear a new "buzz" word, trading ETO's (Exchange Traded Options ). This is it, this is what you want to do and so you start researching and before long your head is spinning with total confusion.

How do you decide between all those "guru"s"? With so many different systems and methods, first you need to break it down and find what you would be comfortable with.

Teach Yourself By Reading Books

While this would be perhaps the cheapest option, it could take many years to arrive at a level of understanding and confidence. Having said that, it has been done.

Attending Weekend Workshops

This may be suitable for people if they have a good understanding of the share market already and the workshops are located in your vicinity. You spend the weekend in the workshop where you are really getting the hang of it and at the end you are given handouts to keep. These handouts detail what you have covered over the weekend. The problem with this is that it may be a while before you can put your new found knowledge into practice, and when you do, you can't follow the notes because they are not detailed enough.

Home Study Courses

These courses have big appeal to those who work full time as these allow for self-paced learning. They are a lot more comprehensive than the workshops and you do get large manuals with lots of examples. Some will have phone and/or email support staff to answer any queries. The problem with this is that you may be in the middle of a trade where you are not sure how to proceed and need immediate help, only to find the help is not immediately available.

Enrolling In College Classes

There are colleges that run classes to teach you stock market trading and they can be anywhere from weeks to months, or even years in some cases. This style of learning can be restrictive if the classes do not fit in with your employment responsibilities. However there are night classes for those that work during the day.

Online Courses

These are a popular method of learning because you can do this at your convenience, whether it is 10.00am or 2.00am. These courses usually combine text documents and videos. The better ones also include software or interactive programs together with telephone/email support.

There are many forms of training available and while I have experienced all the above, except college classes, I found online training is the fastest and easiest. The most crucial element when deciding on stock market training is to look for a great teacher. A great teacher is one who not only has the ability to impart his/her knowledge in way that you can understand it, but is also an active trader.

Just being an active trader makes a world of difference to your own success.

We all have different learning styles. For example, some people learn by reading, others have to see the process but most need to be actually doing the steps. With a teacher who is actively trading it

So if you need to be actively doing while also learning then you can't go past online training that also has a members chat room during trading hours. This way you will always have access to not only your teacher, but members who are, or have been at the same level as you.
